A trip to Paris

This week I went to Paris with my other half, Michael, as we were celebrating ten years together :)
We managed to cram in a lot over the three days, and went to see the Eiffel Tower, had fallafel in the beautiful Marais area, and visited the Pompidou centre, Notre Dame and the Louvre. Phew! The funniest thing was that it was still very festive in Paris. Everywhere we went still had a the Chrsitmas lights up, the huge Christmas tree was outside the Notre Dame and the restaurants and shops were still full of tinsel and lights! Weird, but nice :)

Reliving my youth....

Ok, so im not actually that old.....creeping up to 32... but today I reclaimed my youth by buying a new pair of DM's. (Doc Martin Boots for those not in the know!)

I had my first pair aged 13 in 1991, when the grunge scene was massive - first time round! They were the black matt leather ones and I wore them till they almost fell apart.

So yesterday when shopping round Manchester, I spotted the hot pink patent ones on sale....and bought them! They are a bit loud, but my fave colour (along with red) and I love them!

Too Fast at Hot Topic

As well as running Dolly Cool and In The Pink, I am also a graphic designer and one of the companies that I design for, American alternative wholesaler Too Fast, has now started to stock Hot Topic.

For those that dont know, Hot Topic is a massive US alternative retailer, who I know from working in the industry are hard to please, and difficult to get into, so Im thrilled that 5 of my designs for Too Fast are for sale on the site = yay! Here they are....

New Year, New Jewels!

Happy New Year!

Whilst most people have been scoffing chocolates and cake and having a nice relaxing time over the holiday, I have been busy creating new ranges for Dolly Cool!

Last year was my first as a self employed designer/maker and while im really pleased with how things have been going, I want to keep it fresh by exploring new creative avenues, while still keeping the same rock n' roll tattoo theme in my work.

Here is a sneak peak at some of my new 3D range....
3D 'LOVE' banner red heart necklace with high gloss finish
'HATE' banner black heart necklace with high gloss finish

3D 'DOLL' banner magenta heart necklace with high gloss finish

'ROCK' & 'ROLL' banner red heart necklace with high gloss finish

All are currently being added to my Dolly Cool website and will be available for purchase very soon :)
